We use a variety of sensors in the telemetry devices developed and built by M. Horning. These include sensors for swimspeed (velocity), motion (accelerometers), Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA), feeding detectors such as stomach-temperature and oesophagus-temperature sensors, and heart-beat or ECG detectors. We also use commercially available sensors suitably modified for our application needs, such as the Heat Flux Sensors (HFR).
