Educational Background:
B.S. Natural Resources Conservation and Management, University of Kentucky, 2001
Research Interests/Area of Expertise:
I have experience working with both terrestrial and marine mammals, with the majority of my work in wildlife disease and population dynamics. I really enjoy learning about and working in any sub-discipline of ecology. In particular, I am interested in changes on an ecosystem level, and how abiotic factors can influence individual growth and reproduction success. My thesis work will be studying the reproductive rates of Northern fur seals in the Pribilof Islands. After determining pregnancy and pupping rates, I will relate these to maternal mass, age and body condition.
